Gamal Marwan

Founder, Chairman & CEO

Gamal Marwan

Gamal Marwan is the Founder, Chairman & CEO of DreamCatcher. He brings over three decades of experience in entrepreneurship, real estate, finance, strategic acquisitions, public equities, and derivatives.

Mr. Marwan began his career at Merrill Lynch in London and was later assigned by the HQ to the Bahrain office. During his time there, he established relationships with high-net-worth individuals in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, gaining valuable insights into regional markets and investor networks. In 1999, he founded MenaNet Communications SAE, which grew to become Egypt’s second-largest Internet Service Provider. By February 2001, he successfully negotiated the sale of MenaNet to Africa Online, a subsidiary of African Lakes PLC, then publicly listed on the London Stock Exchange. In the early 2000s, Mr. Marwan established Melody Entertainment, a media company that owned television and radio networks covering the Middle East and North Africa. Melody produced motion pictures, drama series, and music. Its advertising campaigns received international recognition, winning the Cannes Awards in three years. Mr. Marwan later sold Melody’s television, radio, and production operations but retained some digital rights to its most valuable content and full ownership of the Melody name.

Since 2010, he has focused on real estate investments in Egypt and North America. By timing investments in growing markets and improving properties, Mr. Marwan has enhanced their value and potential. All investments were exited profitably within three to four years of inception, with one remaining investment expected to exit in 2025 with an anticipated 6x return. He now channels this expertise into DreamCatcher’s mission to drive innovation and impact through transformative investments in Saudi Arabia.

In November 2020, Mr. Marwan founded Consigned Sealed Delivered Ltd (CSD), which began operations in March 2021. CSD has become a notable destination for women’s pre-loved luxury designer fashion in the UK, featuring a significant online presence, two retail stores in London, and partnerships with leading international marketplaces. He has developed a skilled management team to oversee the company’s daily operations, allowing him to focus on setting strategic direction and exploring new ventures.

Mr. Marwan’s extensive experience in entrepreneurship and strategic asset management across various industries positions him to lead DreamCatcher effectively. His background in building successful enterprises and fostering relationships with investors and stakeholders supports his role in managing investments that aim to transform and redefine industries.
